Carole Irungu

Field Research Associate

Carole is a seasoned coach and consultant in the areas of leadership, strategy, human behavior, communication, personal development, and education. She has worked with various organizations locally and internationally for over 15 years.


As a delivery consultant, she has helped many organizations achieve organizational transformation through delivery of training programs, workshops, and one on one interactions to organizational leaders and senior management teams. The result has been an increase in the effectiveness, engagement, and performance of individuals and teams.


Carole is passionate about education and student achievement. This she does by facilitating workshops and coaching schools on the Leader in Me Process which is built on the premise that “Every Child Can Be a Leader.” Instead of focusing on academic measures alone, Leader in Me embodies a holistic approach to education, redefining how schools measure success. In partnership with parents, this process enables schools to nurture and develop life-ready leadership skills.


Early in her career, Carole taught writing to undergraduate students with the aim of getting them to use it as a tool for critical thinking, problem solving and effective communication of thought leadership. She continues to support individuals and organizations get better at this important skill.


Carole holds two master’s degrees, one in International Affairs (African Studies) and one in English. She is an accredited Franklin Covey, Crestcom International & Insights Learning Systems facilitator. She is also a Certified “Best Year Yet” Coach.
